Emily Allen is a cellist and teacher living in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2019, Emily completed her master’s degree in Cello Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying with Uri Vardi. Since 2019, she has continued her studies with cellist Leonardo Altino.
Emily has worked with cellists of all ages and backgrounds, but she is most interested in starting the beginning cello student. She currently teaches first-year strings classes and orchestra in the Madison Metropolitan School District, and maintains a private cello studio on Madison’s south side. In addition to teaching, Emily has also played in the cello section of the La Crosse Symphony, Dubuque Symphony, and Madison Symphony Orchestra.
